One of the most promising hip-hop/rap artists from San Jose, California, in the Southern Bay Area, Piff Habanero, hits back hard to the scene with a mighty piece of music, “Sun Set,” which features Deploi & Mr. Juse.

Piff Habanero was born in New York City and raised in San Jose, California, in the Southern Bay Area. Piff was a vast hip-hop aficionado throughout his adolescence. However, he did not begin rapping until he was 20 years old. Under the alias E-Piff, he produced three mixtapes. He began rocking underground concerts throughout the Bay Area, opening for prominent bands like GZA of the Wu-Tang Clan and Hieroglyphics. His tune “Can U Dig It?” was played on numerous underground stations in the Bay Area.

He changed his name to Piff Habanero in late 2018, believing it was a better fit for him. In early 2019, he released his debut EP, “The Piff Habanero EP,” along with three more singles.

In 2020, he released “Armageddon,” a collaboration mixtape with fellow San Jose emcee Evil Tha Ilest. Currently, in 2021, he has released another solo EP, “2020 Vision,” and is preparing to release “Summer,” a collaborative project with fellow Bay Area emcee Mr. Juse.

An intense beat from the composer propels the performance, which is driven by a distinct theme and a track title that recurs throughout the entire show.

While the background music has a definite, uplifting delicacy to it — these chords, this rising synth line – there is also a diverse intensity to the drum-work and Piff Habanero’s vocal delivery on top of it.

In the case of ” Sun Set,” the ear is pulled to the snicket, crunchy beat, as well as the Piff Habanero Deploi & Mr. Juse vocal, which is a must-hear. Or, more accurately, lyrics — there’s a wide variety of them on show.

With the majority of his songs including a full bass-heavy beat, artists demonstrate a great deal of ebb and flow in their arrangement, reminiscent of the action of waves lapping on a beach.

As a result, the overall impression is one of sumptuous richness.
